Uganda’s National women’s Cricket team has won Sierra Leone in the second match of the ICC Women’s Qualifier Africa 2019 taking place in Zimbabwe.
Uganda who are the defending champions are seeking to qualify for the 2020 ICC Women’s T20 World Cup.
Skipper Kevin Awino did smart work when she came behind the stumps to pick the final wicket of the game as Uganda claim a 91 run win. Sierra Leone made 53 runs ending the game with 143/2.
Rwanda’s women’s national cricket team also won their first game at the 2020 ICC Women’s T20 World Cup taking place in Zimbabwe. They beat Nigeria by 41 runs. Rwanda’s Henrietta Ishimwe took home the Player of the Match award.
