Musician Catherine Kusasira has confirmed that the President Yoweri Museveni will be the guest of honour at her fast coming concert slated for September 20, 2019.
The concert has been named “Tears of a woman,” and it will be hosted at the Kampala Serena Hotel.
According to Kusasira, she spoke to President Museveni who confirmed his presence at the concert.
“I talked to the president and he confirmed his presence. I call upon my fans to come and we hear from him,” Kusasira said in part.
Speaking to NBS Television’s entertainment bulletin dubbed ‘UNCUT’, Kusasira promised to put up a show that will live long in the memories of those that will attend.
She said that all is set for the concert and her fans should not accept to be divided by political sentiments.
“Music is my main job. I am an artist and not a politician. I call upon every one that loves me to come and we have a night to remember. I want to give you the best,” she said.
Kusasira now joins the line of artistes like Moses Ssali alias Bebe Cool who hosted the President at his Golden Heart concert at Kololo Independence Grounds last year.
Kusasira has been a long-time supporter of the ruling party of the NRM and its chairperson President Museveni following her involvement in the parties promotion projects such as Tubonga Naawe in the 2016 General elections.
She also delivered condolences on behalf of the President to the family of the late Yasin Kawuma who was gunned down earlier this year. Kawuma was Kyadondo East MP Robert Kyagulanyi’s driver.
